Circumventing Alarm System

*PLEASE READ* The purpose of this video is to show how easily some alarm systems can be bypassed. Some of you may think that it’s a stupid idea to reveal vulnerabilities of security systems, but I believe it’s better that everyone knows – not just the burglars. Hopefully this will encourage manufacturers to further improve their products and also help end-users to better understand what they want from their system. I would like to hear comments from other wireless alarm system owners! In my mind, alarm systems have two missions: 1. Local alarm (when the user returns, he can – by looking at the system – notice that an alarm has occurred while he was away) 2. Remote alarm (notifying predefined persons through SMS for example) This technique prevents both from happening. I tried this with a PIR detector too. This is just one example of how to circumvent alarm systems. There are others too, for both wireless and wired. The reason why I decided to upload this, was because it really is so ridiculously easy that anyone can do it, and it has almost no risk involved. This particular system is approved by my local insurance companys.

Is it possible to bypass door sensor of a GE Simon Home alarm from the inside?

I originally purchased my GE Simon for home safety. Now, with a 15 year old daughter who has become fond of sneaking out at 2am, it’s become more of a child safety tool. As soon as I set it back up, I caught her trying to bypass the alarm on the front door by sticking a magnet between the piece on the door and the piece on the wall. This did not work, but I am not sure why as its only a magnet inside the plastic piece on the door. Is there any other way she could bypass the alarm?

Some Best Tips to Install a Driveway Alarm

If you want to know if there are intruders or visitors arrive at your home, using driveway alarm would be the best way. This alarm will alert you to their presence immediately when they pull into the drive. If you are going to install driveway alarm, you should choose the device that suits with your needs, your budget, and you need to make sure that it keeps you safe. At this time, this article is going to give you smart tips to install a driveway alarm. Just take a look at the following tips and get your home safe from any intruders.

One of the most important things that you have to do is to choose between wired and wireless driveway alarm. A wired alarm can work well in detecting a vehicle when it drives over the cable and stretched across your driveway. On the other hand, wireless unit can detect the motion and send a wireless to the receiver in your home.

Moreover, sometimes the distance from alarm to the inside receiver may become a problem for those who would like to install wireless alarm but they have very long driveway. If you choose the wireless unit, you have to make sure that the distance from the future site of the sensor can be reached by the alarm to the farthest corner of your home. You need to select stronger transmitter if the sensor should travel through the numerous walls and the thick foliage before reaching the receiver.

Furthermore, in the process of choosing driveway alarm, you need to consider about your main reason to install the alarm. If you are working on a home business and you need an advance notice that potential client is arriving, all what you need is a wired alarm. However, if you try to find alarm for security, you need to consider for adding additional receivers throughout the home in order to alert you when the visitor is presence.

Wireless Burglar Alarms – Get Ahead Of The Alarm By Going Wireless!

Burglar alarms are high on the list of all responsible homeowners who stay away from their home for long hours or travel frequently or even those that have family or pets at home besides the personal possessions that can be at risk should an intruder get in. To circumvent these incidents which are definitely on the rise with federal reports on incidents of vandalism and robberies stating these having increased, it is but natural for smart homeowners to focus on preventing and curbing crimes rather than wait for something untoward to happen and then belatedly react.

Any unlawful or uninvited entry into a person’s house is considered as punishable by law and so are the more obvious break-ins by seasoned thieves and opportunists who are always on the look-out for an unprotected house to enter with ease; this is the main reason why easy to fix and configure/re-program wireless alarm systems are increasingly being preferred to the more expensive hardwired kinds by homeowners today.

Not only does a reliable wireless burglar alarm deter a potential burglar from going further in should he hear the shrieking alarm go off in time before more sensitive zones in the home are trespassed upon, but it also gives the homeowner peace of mind knowing these work on advanced technology principles and require very sharp minds and hands to de-activate which few can do, unless professionally trained. Besides, the integrated wireless alarms that are connected to a security service desk or to the homeowner’s PC help to immediately bring in police/fire/security personnel help to nab the thief, so are a good bet to improve home security.

Any areas in the house that allows for clear view of the property must be kept clean and trimmed of any shrubbery etc that may allow potential intruders to hide and go past unnoticed; therefore, it is also imperative that homeowners keep a check on locking access points and setting up basic security such as thorny plants, guard dogs and arranging night patrolling etc. to minimize instances of crime. This is in addition to installing a wireless burglar alarm.

Most of the burglar alarms of today are sophisticated electronic aids that signal the homeowner of an unlawful entry by transmitting the information via the mode of body heat (not triggered off by animal heat such as from pets), motion (any movement detected in the range of the alarm), smoke, fire or water sensors to the camera. Doors, windows and cabinets or corners are strategic placement points for close circuit wireless cameras and support equipment for home security.

Most people also opt for the wireless alarm since it does not call for fresh wiring or calling in a technician for someone with handyman experience and basic tools; DIY burglar alarm kits are ready to install and come with easy fitting instructions that any newbie can also follow easily to safeguard their homes. They also allow for flexibility of programming since they are wireless and can be changed around, so wireless burglar alarms can be used for protecting glass break-ins, smoke and CO detectors besides a variety of others for different types of emergency situation detection and make for enabling immediate action by homeowners and support security services, whatever the occasion.

So, why not research your home security needs and get one today – safeguard home and residents both!
